Last Full Day in Liberia!

We have had an extremely busy and blessed trip!  I have learned to let God take care of the schedule, I just have an agenda going into each of these trips and let HIM guide it!  I could not have orchestrated any of this!
Our Haven Children are doing amazing and a few of them are close to the end of their adoption process!
Enjoy the pics and thank you for the prayers!

Prince is an amazing little guy!  He will be going home to his adoptive family soon! We couldn't get a good picture of him without food all over him.  He loves to eat!

Doing assessments on all the children

Georgia is always trying to talk...

This little guy and his mom just showed up during our meeting.  I don't know how families know that I'm coming, but every trip we always see new children and their families needing help for the child with special need.

We are so happy to introduce Hawa to you.  We just transferred her into our care from an orphanage that could not care for her.  She is 7 and the size of a small 2 y.o.  She weighs 18lbs!  We look forward to seeing her blossom and grow in our program with her great foster mom!
Leaving the orphanage where she has been living for 5 years.

Here is Elizabeth who is doing better in the feeding program.  She will continue to be nourished through them, then we will be taking into our foster homes.  Her foster mom is anxiously awaiting her arrival!  We all look forward to seeing her progress in the next few months!  Thank you all who contributed to helping her, finding sponsors, and praying for her.  She is improving!  Praise God!

Update from His Safe Haven Liberia

Today we checked in on the sweet little girl we put an SOS out for.  Her name is Elizabeth and appears to have microcephaly and cerebral palsy.  She was looking so much better!  When we took her to the clinic, she was yellow, dry, dehydrated and unresponsive except to pain.  Today she is shiny with pink moist lips and was awake and lifting her head up!  We now have the full story on why her condition was so bad, and how even some clinics and hospitals refused to treat her because her condition was so bad and her special need.
We are working along with her grandmother to have her placed into a feeding program tomorrow, and then we will work on her placement into our Haven Children's Program.
Praise God for sponsors who have stepped forward and committed to her, as well as a few donations that will help in paying for some of her care and getting her proper supplies.

We also were able to get done full assessments on 6 of the children.  We needed updated weights, and measurements, as well as a progress report and things we will need to start working more on for each child.  Here are a few pictures of some of our precious children being well taken care of by our wonderful foster moms and families!

Hello from His Safe Haven in Liberia!

I have seen all the Haven Children for the past 3 days, and am so encouraged at their progress and how content they are with their foster moms.  Faith, who is a wonderful friend of mine, is now officially taking the role of Sponsorship Coordinator, just arrived yesterday and has jumped right in!  She already knows so many of these children from prior visits from a year ago and before, so it was great for her to see so many familiar faces.
The schedule has been packed, and we are in the process of moving 2 children into our program who already have sponsors and a foster mom waiting for them!  We are just awaiting the final paperwork from the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
We have many meetings to attend to this following week, assessments on all the children, foster mom training, and visits to other organizations that we need to fit in!  This next week will go by too quickly!
All the Haven Children are doing great!  Lots of loves and cuddles going on here!
