A few pictures and updates on our trip!

Hello from Liberia!!
We have not had internet for the past 5 days we have been here.  I will give you a quick update while we have a small window for internet time.

We arrived last Friday into Monrovia, along with our 9 pcs of luggage!
Saturday we spent the morning checking in on the Haven Children.  They all are doing so wonderful!  I have noticed some nice weight gains on a few that needed it, some are sitting on their own or standing, when they weren't doing this 3 months ago.  The highlight of seeing the children, was finally meeting sweet Hannah!  What a doll!  She was talking with us, laughing and joking.  She is an amazing little girl, but VERY tiny!  Her size surprised me!  She is 10 and the size of a 5 year old.  She is thriving as well as all the other children!  I'm so proud of how hard our team has been serving these precious children!

I finally had the privilege of meeting our His Safe Haven Truck!  What a blessing it is already to have our own vehicle to come and go whenever needed!  And a lot of space for all the luggage we are always hauling to Liberia!

After visiting the Haven Children for a few hours, we headed for the other long journey to Gbarnga (pronounced 'Bonga). The roads are getting better, but it's still a LONG trip dodging pot holes and winding detours.  Gbarnga is into the interior of Liberia where our land is located, along with several pastors and family that we have grown to love.
We went to church on Sunday, Service was 3 hours and wonderful, but HOT!!  We taught Josephus and Peter how to play UNO and treated them to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which they always love!
Monday we went to the village to see the swing set that was built the last trip, and to visit the school children.   The children saw us and swarmed us!  They are so grateful for the swing set!  We are still waiting on the remainder of the school supplies to get cleared from a container in port.  We also did some video taping on our land.

Rose blessed us again and dressed Janela and I in traditional African dresses.

This is a picture of half the sunday school children in church.

We met the architect that is drawing up His Safe Have Village plans, and getting estimates for the buildings and fencing.  We ask for your prayers for God to provide in amazing ways to supply all our needs for this village.
We went to visit an orphanage  that a friend of mine has in Gbarnga.  The children sang some wonderful songs and greeted us with about 100 smiles!  We passed out suckers and biscuits and were amazed how well behaved and smart they all were!
We then went to the waterfall to end another very HOT day!

Tuesday we traveled up into the bush another 1.5 hours to see our other 25 acres for self-sustaining agriculture purposes.  This land is located in a wonderful village that will be maintaining our farm.  Our prayer is that we can raise the funds to get started on planting our first 600 palm trees, and within 2 years time, be able to harvest palm oil to help fund some of the projects in the His Safe Haven Village.
It was another beautiful day...but HOT!!  I will be trying to post more pictures in the next few days.
Tomorrow we get back to work with the Haven Children.  We are pretty excited to see those precious faces!!
